Born from a conversation about film magazines in a small Queens, NY apartment in the summer of 2007, Paracinema evolved from a discussion to a tangible product with the printing of our first issue. We haven’t looked back since. Each issue of Paracinema is a true work of passion, not only by its publishers, but by each contributor. It is meant to be appreciated by readers who possess that same type of passion
Paracinema clearly stands out in the crowd of its contemporaries, and “TOWERS over anything comparable you would find on the rack at your local Borders bookstore.”
Each issue of Paracinema features 36 beautifully designed full-color pages filled with accessible in-depth articles and essays covering all genres of film. We’re not a review magazine, but rather a place to celebrate and discuss movies. Print isn’t dead, and we encourage you to check us out and support independent publishing.
