We are the magazine for and by people who love genre film.

Born from a conversation about film magazines in a small Queens, NY apartment in the summer of 2007. Paracinema Magazine evolved from a discussion into a tangible product with the printing of our first issue. Armed with only a modest website and a myspace page we took to the internet to sell our creation. Surprisingly, our first issue was received far better than we could have ever anticipated. We haven't looked back since. Each issue of Paracinema is a true work of passion, not only by its publishers but by each contributor and is meant to be appreciated by readers who posess that same type of passion.

Although still in its infancy, Paracinema clearly stands out in the crowd of its contemporaries. Produced on a fraction of the budget as those other genre magazines, Paracinema "TOWERS over anything comparable you would find on the rack at your local Borders bookstore". It's filled with accessible in-depth analytical pieces, interviews, informative articles about movie "classics" and amazing, original, film inspired art. No movie reviews, no music reviews, no toy or action figure news, no book reviews, no filler. Those publications that do have such features are great at what they do. We are not them.

So give us a shot, buy an issue. We're confident you'll love it.
